Support Us
In addition to revenue generated from product sales, our council
applies for grants from corporations and foundations and sponsors
Campout Gala, a widely attended special event. But that is not enough.
We must also depend on financial contributions from our families,
alumnae, friends, small businesses, corporations, and service clubs
in each of our communities through the Annual Giving Campaign to
keep our programs strong.
When you make a financial contribution to Girl Scouts, your gift
serves many purposes:
- enriching programs and activities
- two camp facilities
- program center available to over 500 troops and community groups
- volunteer training for over 1,800 adults
- devoted staff
Since 1920, Girl Scouts of the Fox River Area, Inc. has grown to
serve over 6,400 girl members in our six-county jurisdiction - well
above the national average. All gifts to Girl Scouts of the Fox
River Area, Inc.'s Annual Giving Campaign support our important
mission to "build girls of courage, confidence and character,
who make the world a better place." During the past year, Girl
Scouts of the Fox River Area, Inc. sponsored nearly 85 educational
programs in the areas of:
- health and wellness
- art and culture
- science, technology,engineering and math (S.T.E.M.)
- camp and outdoors
- leadership and adventure
Girl Scouting aims to guide girls at a turning point in their lives
with relevant programs promoting physical activity, health and fitness,
civic responsibility, and community involvement.
