Successful Sitter
June 23, 2008, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. / Girl Scout Program Center
Learn communication, child development, injury prevention, and safety
skills in a fun and interactive way to become a successful babysitter.
Receive a Caring for Children Badge and a certificate of completion from
Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

Sitter CPR
June 24, 2008, 9 a.m.-noon / Girl Scout Program Center
Learn how to perform CPR and respond to a choking infant or child. Must
have completed the Successful Sitter training.

Tchaikovsky Ballet and Orchestra's Swan Lake SOLD

One of the most beloved and best-known ballet stories of all time: a princess
turned into a swan maiden by an evil sorcerer's curse! This amazing ballet
is presented by the ballet company from Perm, Russia, accompanied by a
live orchestra. This truly unique opportunity of both dance and music
is for all ages!

Mad Scientists
March 29, 2008, 9 a.m.-noon / Girl Scout Program Center
Make things go boom, explore how to become a mad scientist, make icky
goo, and create a rubber band car and race to the finish for fun prizes
at this awesome day of silly science!
Grade 4-6 / $6/girl OR bring a non-Girl Scout friend and pay only $3 each

Geocaching Adventure
UW-Oshkosh, Oshkosh
Find your place on the planet by using a global position system (GPS).
Participate in a cache hunt to learn how to use the GPS units and create
your own geocache and share them with others around the world. Program

Chicago or Bust!

Visit the windy city! Explore the great exhibits at the Shedd Aquarium

Survivor

Have fun hiking, fire building, perfecting archery, knot tying, and outdoor

Daisy/Brownie Day at Camp

Daisies and Brownies can tour the camp, enjoy outdoor activities, make
a craft, sing songs, and make a s'more with the 2008 camp staff.

Camp Winnecomac Open House
June 7, 2008, 1-2 p.m. / Camp Winnecomac, Kaukauna
Camp counselors will be available to answer questions and give tours.
Kids and parents are invited to attend. Parents are encouraged to invite
friends and non-Girl Scouts.

CBT Open House
June 7, 2008, 1-4 p.m. / Camp Birch Trails, Irma
Take a walking tour of CBT to enjoy beautiful Olivotti Lake and check
out all camp has to offer. Bring your swimsuit. Camp counselors will be
available to answer questions and give tours. Parents are encouraged to
invite friends and non-Girl Scouts.

Me and My Pal
June 13-15, 2008 / Camp Birch Trails, Irma
Bring your dad, grandpa, uncle or other favorite adult male to camp for
the weekend! Pals will be housed separately, next to girls. Canoe, swim,
bike, fish, play games, enjoy campfires, boat, explore nature activities,
do archery and make art projects. Staff, food, programs and supplies provided.
Sleep in a yurt, platform tent, rustic cabin or the lodge.

Lifeguard Training

This American Red Cross course will be a mix of in-water and classroom
time. Skills, swim and classroom test need to be taken and passed to receive

Outdoor Extravaganza Troop Opps
June 27-29, Aug. 8-10, 2008 / Camp Birch Trails, Irma
Experience the northwoods with your troop when staff leads a variety of
programs including canoeing, kayaking, nature activities, team building
and ropes course activities, mountain biking, fishing, craft projects,
games, archery, and more! Canoe, swim, bike, fish, play games, enjoy campfires,
boat, explore nature activities, do archery and make art projects. Staff,
food, programs and supplies provided. Sleep in a yurt, platform tent,
rustic cabin or the lodge.

Troop Taste of Adventure

Sample from the CBT Wilderness Trip program! Use camp as your base and
work with staff to choose your daily options of biking, canoeing, sea
kayaking, or hiking. Horseback riding and tubing are available for an
additional fee. One day to week long trips available for all skill levels.

Program Aide Training (PA)
May 10, 9 a.m.-May 11, noon, 2008 / Camp Winnecomac, Kaukauna
A Program Aide is a Girl Scout in grade 7-12, interested in sharing her
skills with younger girls. After training, a PA can work under the supervision
of an adult leader in a variety of settings, such as with a troop, at
council events, or at day camp.

Girl Scout Gold Award Workshop
May 20, 2008, 5-6:30 p.m. / Girl Scout Program Center
Get the facts and ideas to make your project great! Bring your questions,
parents and advisors. Workshop is particularly helpful for girls planning
to earn their Gold Award in 2009, but all are welcome.

Counselor-in-Training I (CIT I)
June 15-27, 2008 / Camp Birch Trails, Irma
A great opportunity for older girls who would like to work at camp some
day. Gain leadership skills, work directly with girls and have a lot of
fun. Learn about the different jobs at camp and visit other camps to see
how they run. You must attend the two weeks listed and are then free to
sign up for as many additional weeks of camp as you would like.
Grade 10-12 / $230/girl ($55 for additional weeks)
Successful Sitter

Counselor-in-Training II (CIT II)
July 6-25, 2008 / Camp Birch Trails, Irma
This three-week program is for girls who have participated in CIT I and
would like to gain further skills at camp. Become Lifeguard and CPR certified
by taking the American Red Cross course. Learn about each of the specialty
areas of camp and shadow staff in one. Spend two weeks apprenticing and
gaining leadership skills in your chosen specialty, or come back for additional
weeks to apprentice in other areas.
Grade 10-12 / $335/girl (covers classes, books and certifications; no
fee for additional weeks)
Lifeguard Training Class
June 13-16, 2008 / Camp Birch Trails, Irma
This American Red Cross course will be a mix of in-water time and classroom

2008 National Girl Scout Leadership Institute
Oct. 29 and 30, 2008
Girl Scouts in grades 6-12 are invited to attend this program immediately
preceding the GSUSA National Convention in Indianapolis. Learn about healthy
lifestyle choices, build leadership skills, and have fun in Circle City.
Cost is $125 per girl (transportation, lodging and meals are not included
in this fee.) This event is hosted by Girl Scouts of Central Indiana and
GSUSA.
