Be A Reader Candy and Magazine Program
The Be A Reader Program ended in November and with it an increase
in the number of nut and candy items sold! Congratulations to all
the girls, parents and volunteers for all their hard in making this
program a success.
By participating in the Girl Scout Product Sale Program, girls
learn a variety of life skills like goal setting, planning for their
troop year, learning money management, and developing self-confidence
and decision-making skills. Girls earn coupons at any recognition
level for Be A Reader, to be used for council merchandise, membership
registration, council programs, camp, or STUDIO 2B destinations.
These programs provide families and friends the opportunity to support
our council, the troops and each Girl Scout.
The Be A Reader Magazine Program and Candy Program
raise funds for programs that benefit our girls. The success of
the program will depend upon your participation!
Thousands of dollars leave our community annually for magazine
subscriptions. We would appreciate the opportunity to earn part
of these funds for our Girl Scouts. Plan to give magazine subscriptions
or magazine gift cards as gifts this year. Let your friends, relatives
and co-workers know about our magazine campaign and ask them to
S.O.S. (Save Our Subscription)! Save magazine subscriptions that
need to be renewed or if you would like to subscribe to a new magazine,
please SAVE your orders for our campaign. Renewal orders will simply
extend the current subscription, unless the renewal has expired.
