Spring Registration
Register your troop for the 2008-2009 Girl Scout membership year and receive a free patch!

Why register early?

  • Girl Scout Cookie Coupons may be used before they are lost or expired.
  • Girls in your troop will receive a free patch that can be awarded at your troop's end of year event.
  • There will be less paper work at the start of the school year so you will have a quicker, easier start in fall.
  • Don't know which girls are returning next year? Register the girls so they can attend council sponsored events even if they are not involved in a troop.

Spring registration packets will be available at the Girl Scout Program Center and/or your upcoming service unit meetings. Call your membership staff person to make arrangements to pick up your packet if you are unable to be at the service unit meeting.
Free patch offer ends June 30, 2008.

  • Girls
  • Adults

Girl Scouts develops girls into strong young women who demonstrate leadership, ethics and values, self-esteem, life skills, and community service. Girl Scouts may be one of the most important and rewarding experiences of a girl's adolescent years. Consider that:

  • 64 percent of today's female leaders in the United States (civic, corporate and political) were Girl Scouts
  • 82 percent of high-achieving alumnae believe Girl Scouts influenced their success
  • Two-thirds of all women in Congress today were Girl Scouts, and our very own Girl Scout Council provided leadership experiences for some of our brightest, homegrown stars - women like astronaut Dr. Rhea Seddon, Oprah Winfrey, Amy Grant, aviator Cornelia Fort, and track and field Olympian Wilma Rudolph

Parents

Girl Scouting can provide you with new and different ways to connect with your daughter. In a recent Girl Scouts' National Outcomes Study, 54 percent of parents said they spent more time with their daughters because of Girl Scouting and half said "my relationship with my daughter improved." Whether it's chaperoning a troop camping experience or assisting with a community service project, you and your daughter will have endless possibilities to develop memories to last a lifetime.

Not every young woman has positive role models in her life, which makes Girl Scouting even more critical. Our carefully trained adult volunteers understand the unique needs of girls, who serve as mentors and guides as the girls navigate the waters of young adulthood.

Are you interested in becoming a volunteer? We'd love to make the right match for you, based on your time and interests!
