Positions Available
Resident Camp
Food Supervisor/Head Cook
Responsible for administering and supervising food preparation and service,
food purchasing, menu planning, maintenance of health standards, adapting
menus for special diets, and supervision of kitchen staff. Experience
in quantity food preparation necessary. Wisconsin Food Manager certification
desirable.
Health Supervisor
Responsible for health and safety of entire facility, program, campers,
and staff. Maintains health center and First Aid equipment. Manages volunteer
nurses. Registered RN, EMT, Paramedic, or Physician. Current CPR and First
Aid required.
Trip Director
Responsible for both the overnight and long trip programs, training and
supervision of trip leaders, and equipment repair. Knowledge of bike,
backpack, canoe, and kayak trips is required.
Waterfront Director
Responsible for organizing and administering waterfront activities consistent
with Girl Scout and American Camping Association standards. Experience
in administering waterfront activities to include boating and recreational
or instructional swimming. Current LGT necessary
Sports Director
Responsible for the organization of the sports program. Work with counselors
to set up practice and lesson times. Also responsible for training and
facilitation for archery and low ropes course. First Aid and CPR required.
Assistant Cook
Assists the food supervisor with meal preparation. Ensures health standards
are maintained in the dining hall and kitchen areas. Experience with quantity
cooking is helpful.
Naturalist/Nature Director
Plan, coordinate and lead all nature and environmental activities. Assist
camp in recycling and other earth friendly practices
Driver/Mower
Responsible for maintaining safety on the road while driving trips in
and out of camp. Must be 21 years of age with a good driving record. Ability
to drive small garden tractor to mow.
Art Director
Responsible for providing creative art projects for girls of all ages
with the girls' interests in mind. Assist counselors in implementing program
in this area.
Boating Director
Responsible for organizing and administering boating activities consistent
with Girl Scout and American Camping Association standards. Experience
in administering waterfront/boating activities to include kayaking, sailing
and canoeing. Current LGT necessary.
Trip Leader (must be available to start June 1)
Lead canoe, backpack, sea kayak, and bike trips out of camp. Experience
in one or more of these areas necessary. Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR
certifications necessary. Advanced First Aid highly desirable.
Counselor (counselors and program assistants must be available
to start June 11)
Work directly with girls in small groups. Plan and coordinate all activities
with girls. Flexibility, sense of humor and desire to have fun and be
a positive role model necessary. First Aid and CPR certification required.
Kitchen Assitant
Responsible for assisting staff in all areas of camp. Major responsibilities
include keeping the bathrooms clean, doing the dishes and helping with
meal preparations.
Office Assistant
Responsible for assisting staff in all areas of camp. Major responsibilities
include assisting the business director and health supervisor, filing,
sorting mail and assisting program director.

Day Camp
Program Director
Assist Camp Director/Assistant Camp Director in providing administrative
leadership to the camp. Responsibilities include supervision and evaluation
of program aides, food ordering, scheduling and keeping records. Creative
problem solving skills, administrative skills, previous camp experience,
flexibility, and sense of humor are necessary.
Health Supervisor
Responsible for health and safety of entire facility, program, campers
and staff. Maintains all health center and First Aid equipment. Plan,
and coordinate health activities for campers. Current CPR and First Aid
required.
Art Director
Plan, coordinate, and lead arts and craft activities. Assist in special
all camp programs. Lead specialized art sessions. Experience in art, coordination
of multiple tasks, supervisory experience, and creative activity planning
is necessary.
Sports & Nature Director
Plan, coordinate, and lead sports and nature activities. Assist in special
all camp programs. Lead specialized sports and nature activities throughout
the week. Basic knowledge of sports (skills), sporting background, science,
nature, and creative program planning is necessary.
Counselor
Work directly with girls in small groups. Plan and coordinate all activities
with girls. Patience, flexibility, must work some paid overnights, sense
of humor, desire to have fun and be a positive role model necessary.
*First aid and CPR certification required for all camp staff positions.
A certification and re-certification course will be offered as a part
of staff training at a discounted rate.
