Why Girls Should Have Books

  • The Handbook and Badge Book are a core part of the Girl Scout Program
  • These books include many activities that can be done as a family
  • Girls are always permitted to work on awards independently or as part of their troop
  • Books let girls know of everything the Girl Scout program offers
  • Parents who have access to the books have …
    • a greater understanding of what Girl Scouting is doing for their daughter
    • are more likely to help with troop activities or help their daughter earn awards
    • a better understanding of how meetings work and the structure of the Girl Scout program

These materials will last your daughter for three years, so they really are a great investment.
